@Health     e-Salud | Europeo | 6FP


@Health (EU-LAM community to foster international cooperation on eHealth applications and Technologies). Its objective is to create a European and South-American community of researchers, companies, medical associations and other interested bodies that work in the field of e-health in order to promote cooperation, technology transfer and to carry out a series of research and development projects through specific finance programmes and mechanisms. This community will promote the dissemination of European and South American e-health technologies and practices, adapted to local needs, as well as specific research projects to develop flexible and useful technologies.

The ACTIVE-HEALTH project was an accompanying measure for the analysis and study of the question of applications of information technologies, promotion of health and prevention of illnesses.

IST project for the development of interactive information systems to support and promote people’s participation in the public administration decision making processes.


Alcoy Ciudad Digital     e-Salud | Nacional


Alcoy Digital City project. TSB in charge of the design, development, implementation and maintenance of a management system for the Home-Care Unit of the Alcoy Hospital Virgen de Los Lirios. To improve the management of this unit, the development is proposed of a platform, with the name of “Lyra".



AmIVITAL     e-Inclusión | Nacional | CDTI


The general objective of the AmIVITAL project is the development of a new generation of ICT technologies and tools for the modelling, design, operation and implementation of Ambient Intelligence (AmI) devices and systems to be used for providing services and personal support for independent living, wellbeing and health.


Apnea Móvil     e-Salud | Nacional | IMPIVA


The objective of this project is to develop a wireless system for registering pulse and arterial oxygen saturation. The measuring of arterial oxygen saturation has become one of the bloodless examinations with the greatest possibility of application, as well as for use in leisure and sporting activities, thereby constituting important feedback for sports enthusiasts. Versatility and independence of the pulsiometres will allow for a rise in the range of applications for which measurement of this parametre will be useful.

Ask-it

“Ambient Intelligence System of Agents for Knowledge-based and Integrated Services for Mobility Impaired users” (ASK-IT). Its objective is to create a platform based on Ambient Intelligence to provide integrated services for persons with mobility problems.


Attract     e-Salud | Europeo


European project which, through the use of new communications infrastructures, demonstrated that health centres could provide remote assistance services in the home at a reasonable cost.


Campusalud     e-Salud | Nacional


Campusalud objective is to inform, train and engage through quality content and interactive services, designed to introduce healthy habits, prevalent disease prevention, as well as any aspects that might be of interest in the health sector.


Care-Paths     e-Salud | Europeo | 6FP


CAREPATHS (An intelligent support environment to improve the quality of decision processes in health communities). The objective was to create an operational environment which allowed effective decision making while attending patients. In this process, the concept of clinical pathways was implemented. The idea is to standardise clinical processes and by the use of suitable information systems to design, implement and evaluate clinical pathways, and thus improve health care, efficiency and coordination among health personnel, so that patients will feel satisfied with the attention received.


CMA     e-Salud | Nacional | MICIIN


CMA (Major Outpatient Surgery) is the application of different surgical, anaesthetic and nursing techniques that allow patients to be discharged from hospital shortly after certain operations which had previously required a hospital stay. The biggest problem in adding new processes to CMA is the difficulty of carrying out post-operative control of the patient in his home.

The objective of this IST project was to provide the necessary personal, domestic and social services to severely handicapped persons. It also provided communication and organisational services to their carers and care organisations. ITACA-TSB assumed the task of project technical coordinator, designed the system architecture and led sub-system developments for patients’ daily activities and backoffice systems for service providers.


D-Lab     e-Salud | Europeo | 5FP


The D-LAB project, focuses its research on the organisation, control and management of diagnostic tests outside the traditional Central Laboratory, in Points of Care Testing (POCT).


Domotex     e-Inclusión | Nacional

The DOMOTEX project consists of studying the possibilities of using textiles in domotics. On one hand, it offers a short term practical vision of a set of situations for the use of textiles in domotic systems, and on the other gives a mid and long term perspective by the study of application scenarios included in the Ambient Intelligence concept, using integrated smart textiles.



Epicuros     e-Salud | Europeo | Programa Leonardo


EPICUROS Project, financed by the EU Leonardo Program, strives for the development of a tele-education platform that supports and recycles the training of Health System Staff in the area of Traumatology. The application was designed for implementing in zones where professionals had difficulties in accessing traditional educational centres.

FITCONTROL

The aim of the FITCONTROL project is to build a personalised system for each user which advises him on how to control physical strain whilst exercising. The FIT-CONTROL project is for those who have had cardiovascular problems, or simply for those who want to improve their quality of life, and need the tools, information and services which allow them to exert greater control on their general health, thereby preventing cardiovascular disease through prevention and early diagnosis.

The objective of this project was to provide patients in need of continuous assistance and observation with access to appropriate health information at all times.


Healthymarket     e-Salud | Europeo | 5FP


The objective of the HEALTHY MARKET Project was to develop an information and nutritional support portal, to provide consumers with suitable information on nutrition to assist with decisions when shopping for food. The portal also received relevant and adapted nutritional information, gave dietary recommendations and provided personalised diets.


Ideas     e-Salud | Nacional


The “Ideas in e-Health” project developed a general architecture to support a wide variety of tele-medical services aimed at reducing operational costs by creating different levels of services. An interactive technological platform was developed common to tele-care, tele-medicine, tele-assistance and tele-radiology applications in the area of primary health care.


My Heart     e-Salud | Europeo | 6FP


MY HEART (Personalized Information Platform for L“Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases by Preventive Lifestyle and Early Diagnosis). The principal objective of the MyHeart project is to give people more control over their state of health so as to be able to combat cardiovascular diseases (ECV) by means of prevention and early diagnosis. For this, services are used that combine advanced technology in fields such as intelligent textiles, which incorporate electronic systems in clothes for signal processing, advanced user/professional interactive devices and communication systems.


NUADU     e-Salud | Europeo | MITYC


“Networked healthcare and wellbeing services for people at home and on the move” (NUADU) is a Europe-wide project with an ITEA label, co-financed by various national programmes. In the case of the Spanish members, the funding proceeds from the PROFIT programme.
NUADU’s objective is to tackle the technological challenges required to develop health-care and wellbeing services that offer (1) better quality of life for consumers and (2) more efficient and cost-effective solutions for service providers.


Nutritrainer     e-Salud | Nacional | INDRA


The aim of this project is the creation of an application that will improve the learning of specific aspects related to health and nutrition, in a simple and practical way through motivation, based on the example of solutions such as ‘Brain Trainer’ or ‘Wii Fit’. The target public for Nutri-Trainer covers everyone aged 8 and over, as the educational character and design makes the platform user-friendly, attractive and available for all the family.


Oasis     e-Inclusión | Europeo | 7FP


OASIS (Open architecture for Accesible Services Integration and Standardisation). OASIS aims at empowering the conditions that make a person to continue being independent. It will do it by means of various services: Nutritional Advisory, Activity Coach, Brain and Skills Trainer, Social Community Platform, Health Monitoring and Coach, Environmental Control.


ONCNOSIS     e-Salud | Nacional | CDTI


The objectives of the ONCNOSIS project are to obtain biomarkers with diagnostic potential for four oncological illnesses: lung cancer, colorectal cancer, melanoma and ovarian cancer.


Optima     e-Salud | Nacional | MITYC


OPTIMA (Optimisation of Surgical Area and Use of Hospital Equipment by a Location System in Real Time). It dealt with the development of a platform for location and exchange of information, based on low power Bluetooth wireless technology.


Persona     e-Inclusión | Europeo | 6FP


PERSONA (PERceptive Spaces prOmoting iNdependent Aging). The objective of this project is to advance in the area of Ambient Intelligence by the use of a combination of AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) technologies and concepts. AAL Services are sustainable and feasible solutions for the independence and integration of the elderly in social activities. It aims to prolong the time they can live alone in their own homes, giving them a marked degree of independence and self-reliance, improving their safety and looking after their health and social integration.


PIPS     e-Salud | Europeo | 6FP


PIPS (Personalized Information Platform for Life and Health Services). The first objective of PIPS is to use the latest technologies in information and communications to encourage people to make healthy choices in their daily lives. This is achieved by giving users the information they need to improve their personal wellbeing and quality of life, preventing and controlling illnesses, and guaranteeing the continuation of care after leaving hospital and for patients with chronic illnesses.


Pistacable     e-Salud | Nacional


Pistacable developed a medical service platform from which to offer specific tele-assistance services of each use-scenario to professionals and patients: e.g telecardiology, to help cardiac patients in their homes via videoconferencing and monitoring of vital data from the Hospital 9 de Octubre; voice tele-rehabilitation by high-quality videoconference, which facilitates appointment making with specialist phoniatrists and rehabilitation sessions with logopedic specialists of the La Fe Hospital of Valencia; tele-gynacology for expectant mothers prescribed complete rest, who can carry out videoconferencing and echocardiograms from their homes under hospital supervision.

PREVE (Prevention of Diseases). The main aim of the PREVE project is to identify and analyse the way of research into Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), in the sphere of illness prevention and health preservation. This project is directed to all citizens, with the idea that each individual becomes a productive part of their personal healthcare. The individual therefore assumes responsibility for his own health, backed by personalised use of the relevant ICT, based on PHS (Personalised Heatlh Systems).

REALTH

REALTH (REMOTE HEALTH – Gestión local y remota de recursos y servicios sanitarios y tele-asistencia) tiene como objetivo lograr un mayor bienestar social gracias a la mejora de los servicios sanitarios y de la gestión de recursos sanitarios. Concretamente, el proyecto se propone como objetivo social un mayor bienestar, como objetivo tecnológico la optimización y actualización de las tecnologías en el sector sanitario y la mejora de la seguridad del paciente.

Record
RECORD aim is to design, implement and validate a wideband communications platform that will allow intelligent management of interactive contents with therapeutic utility in the ambit of severe cerebral illnesses. Specifically, the intention is to research new lines of therapy using representation technologies, which will be accessible and manageable online safely and effectively.



Sensation     e-Inclusión | Europeo | 6FP


SENSATION (Advanced Sensor Development for Attention, Stress, Vigilance & Sleep/Wakefulness Monitoring). The main objective is to study the sleeping state and its relations with the conscious state as well as with stress and other emotions in order to develop technologies for safety, health and comfort. SENSATION therefore aims to promote people’s health, safety and quality of life as well as protecting the environment by reducing the number of accidents associated with sleep loss and fatigue.


SIMA     e-Salud | Nacional | CONACYT


SIMA (Telehelp for Peritonial Dialisis) is a Mexican-Hispanic project of the Narional Board for Science and Technology (CONACYT), in collaboration with the Institute for Security and Social Services for Workers of the State (ISSSTE). The aforementioned project, which began in November 2009, has a total budget of 122,000 euros.

Slim     e-Salud | Europeo | MINETUR


The SLIM project is for workers and companies working in management, logistics and organisation of Intermodal Container Terminals in a maritime environment. The system aims to be compatible with any type of loading terminal, regardless of its focus (maritime, air or ground), given that all have similar charateristics where risk is concerned, the only differences are in the goods to be loaded and the weather.


Telefónica PPT UMTS     e-Salud | Nacional


In the UBTS projects (UMTS Based telemedicina System) a platform base has been created to develop UMTS network based applications, upon which many specific developments and functions have been created. From this platform, two m-salud (mobile health) specific applications have been made, both based on sending information (photos, surveys,etc) from a mobile telephone to the hospital Server.


Telemonitor Health     e-Inclusión | Nacional

Telemonitor Health

The general aim of this project is to create, in a period of 21 months, an innovative technological sociosanitary system which improves the prevention, control and self-management of chronic illness, and the independence of the elderly affected by osteoarticular and cardiovascular illnesses. This system will combine, in a unique scheme, a portable system of control and communication of the state of health as well as patient tracking, in real time, as well as a domotic contol system and detection of movement within the home.


Tencare     e-Salud | Europeo


Ten-Care Project created an integrated system with the technical and organizational aspects related to healthcare procedures for at-home patients by using tele-technology. The evaluation of the commercial viability of this product was analyzed by Telefónica ( Spain ), Empírica ( Germany ), SEBT and NTL ( Ireland ).


Vadeo     e-Inclusión | Nacional


Vadeo is a social network where people with reduced mobility share information on the level of accessibility of their urban environment (pavements, public buildings, restaurants, hotels etc.), in such a way that the users can plan their routes avoiding said obstacles.


Vaalid     e-Inclusión | Europeo | 7FP

Vaalid

VAALID (Accesibility and Usability Validation Framework for AAL interaction Design process). The objective of the VAALID project is to develop new tools and methods which will facilitate and make more dynamic the creative, design, construction, implementation and evaluation processes for technological solutions, within the context of ‘Vida Cotidiana Asistida por el Entorno’ (literally Daily Life Assistance through Surroundings in Spanish) or AAL (Ambient Assisted Living), thereby assuring the accessibility and usability of the said environment for the elderly.This project is principally directed to those professionals who work in the conception, design and evaluation of the aspects of man-machine interaction for AAL solutions.
