Work in this area consists of developing products and services which, through the application of ICT, allow people with special needs (the handicapped, the elderly, etc.) to have access to and participate in the Information Society, as well as making possible their right to independence. These products and services are also aimed at any individuals or organisations that may be responsible for providing services or assistance to these groups (relations, carers, and public and private organisations).
These research lines, focus on the use of technologies that promote the vision of Environmental Intelligence, the use of Design for Everybody strategies and the promotion of studies on Infoaccessibility.
